What is "durable" justice

America owes African-Americans a remedy for all the wrongs done to them, focused on giving troubled youth a good education, the best route out of poverty. Unfortunately, Madison schools confused that with condoning a lack of respect for teachers and no consequences for misbehaving students. That has led to turmoil in the classroom, which caused middle class flight leaving at-risk kids trapped in failing schools. For justice to be durable, it is necessary to balance racial equity with the needs of the other students.
